Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs “Home Project”

The HOME program is funded by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program is designed to expand the supply of decent, safe and affordable housing. The program strengthens public-private housing partnerships between local governments, public housing authorities, nonprofit and for-profit entities. The projects administered through this program are considered as demolition and reconstruction of Single-Family homes.

RM Quality Construction, LLC has work primarily for TDHCA (Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs) and CDBG since 1996. These contracts have been administered through various COG’s (Councils of Government) and administrators such as Grantworks, Inc., Langford Community Management Services and many others.

Contracts through the HOME program have led us to completing reconstruction and rehabilitation projects throughout Texas. Our superintendents mobilize from one location to another as we build a number of these different projects concurrently. Our superintendents utilize RV’s as mobile offices as they will only be in these areas for approximately sixty days before they need to move on to the next project. Build times are reduced when travel times are minimized to allow for more efficient work on multiple projects. In the past three years, we have completed over one hundred and forty homes for Grantworks and Langford Community Management Services in the HOME program.
